Dancing Chanel

Quentin Jones directed this delightful, Dada-esque mixed media fashion film for VogueTV, featuring ballet dancer Emma Chadwick in Chanel SS11. It’s very refreshing to see a cheerful fashion film that incorporates animation and collage video techniques and still shows off the clothes in a creative way. Watch “Dancing Chanel” below;

Candy Story

A Story for Candystore is a simple yet beautiful video featuring illustrations of Candystore garments. I love the idea of animated lookbooks for fashion collections, it takes it away from the land of models and makeup and into a fantasy land where clothes belong. There is something very sweet and unpretentious about the artwork. Video by Coloring Book Studio with drawings by Alyson Fox. Music by Weisse Geist.

Particuliere

Love this little video by Quentin Jones, via AnOther Magazine. Its a vintage looking stop-motion collage in the cut out style of Terry Gilliam in his Flying Circus days, that serves as a sort of tribute to Chanel Particuliere nail polish (geez, that sentence was a mouthfull…)

The soundtrack is quite charming and obviously I love the nail polish shade…thoughts?
