Ashish AW11

Ashish AW11 was basically what my ideal wardrobe would look like; Shredded jumpers, tartan, creeper shoes, slogan jackets, bone shirts, cobweb tights, harem trousers, slouchy shorts, oversized men’s shirts, sweater vests, and sequined shift dresses.

More photos after the jump;

Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2011 Menswear

When I’m old, I want to be a crazy lady with faded tattoos and a purple beehive, and be married to an old man with this wardrobe (while I’m dreaming, can my husband be Noel Fielding?). In the meantime, I need the jumpers from looks three, four and nine as soon as physically possible.

Fall Essentials

Today was a beautiful foggy day in London, check out my view! I’ve always really loved the fog, and I’ve been spoiled in terms of gray weather; London, Paris, Monterey, San Francisco…all gray, foggy cities.

Anyway, now that I am in a thoroughly Autumnal mood, I thought I’d post my fall essentials list.

  • Leopard print crop jacket from Topshop. As far as I’m concerned, leopard print is ALWAYS an essential. I’ve been wearing this jacket way too often.
  • Comme des Garcon‘s “Wonderwood“. I already rambled on about it here and here but I think its the perfect fall fragrance…very warm and not flowery at all.
  • Nars matte red lipstick…I’m really liking red lips right now, even though I didn’t used to be a lipstick person. Now I wear it almost every day.
  • Doc Marten Divas. I don’t actually own these, but I love them and I think they would fit in nicely with my fall wardrobe (HA! Excuses).
  • Bandanas/Head scarves. My hair is in that awkward growing out period. Actually its been in that awkward stage for over a year now but the best way to keep me from hacking it all off in frustration is to cover it with a scarf.
  • Peter-Pan collars. I’m not sure why but I love these little collars on everything lately…this one is Topshop but its funner to find vintage dresses with this feature.

First Stop Topshop

I am moving back to London next month, I can’t wait. My first stop when I get there is Topshop. The collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 looks amazing, I am definitely going to have to pick up some of those black shredded pieces.

Camuglio Front Row

Today I went to the David Vincent Camuglio AW2010-2011 couture show at Le Theatre Renard in Paris. The collection was absolutely stunning, a mix of glamorous lace, apocolyptic shredded dresses, raw dyed fur pieces and gorgeous patchwork dresses with tartan, silks and loose knits.

The press release described it as “This collection is not strong; It is hard, violent, barbaric…after the Apocolypse, a warrior woman from the 3rd millenium hangs her hunting trophies around her neck. She survives in an urban jungle where Man is Animal…” (this is my translation from the French press release anyway). The theater was a beautiful location for a runway show and I got to sit in the first row which was really exciting.

Check out my front row video below of the final walk through! Pay attention to the shoes they were incredible. (All photos and video by Drooling Isn’t Photogenic). Continue reading

Miu More

Everyone is raving about the new Miu Miu video campaign for AW10/11. The models look gorgeous, the makeup is amazing and the clothes are of course incredible but I feel like the video could have been more creative. The models are Ginta Lapina, Lindsey Wixson (love her), Siri Tollerod, and Daphne Groeneveld.

Thoughts?
