I’ve seen the original Girl with a Dragon Tattoo film but I never expected it to have a fashion moment. The American remake’s star is on the cover of Vogue, and now H&M have unveiled a capsule collection from H&M Divided based on the film’s heroin.
I’m basing this opinion solely on the look of the set, (which includes a giant hamster wheel for models and a cage), but I can already tell that the Versace x H&M tv commercial is going to be amazing. Watch the behind the scenes below;
Pamela Love’s work has been featured more than once on Drooling Isn’t Pretty, but this time it’s to drool over her rather than her cross rings. The jewelry designer, who according to The Cut “manufactures badassness”, is known for her dark, tribal and religion-inspired handmade pieces that have become a favorite among celebrities. Watch to hear about her inspirations, and more importantly, her beautiful gravely voice.
“I don’t feel like it’s just an accessory, I do think of what I do as something that does tell a story” -Pamela Love
Today I went to my first ever fashion show, Kenzo menswear in Paris. It was such an amazing experience…I’ll post more about the collection later because right now I’m a bit starstruck. I got to meet the amazing fashion blogger BryanBoy, who we interviewed for our new Cohesive TV show, Chic Equipe. Check out my blog for Chic Equipehere for more about Kenzo and what I’ve been working on lately!
Here’s the behind the scenes for another gorgeous shoot from Dazed & Confused, Sky Ferreira shot by Rankin. I wish the video was longer, but there are a lot of things I wish for…like her hair. I need Sky’s hair.
“The Youth Spirit” by Jamie Luca for 160G Magazine, featuring model Pavel Pisotski and clothes by the amazing Daniel Palillo, who has been featured in the “drool-worthy” category more than any other designer on this blog. Ob. Sessed.
I really wish I could find this in better quality, but check out this “Alexander Wang Gang” behind the scenes video with the amazing Alice Dellal. This was for a shoot for Interview Magazine shot by photographer Mikael Jansson and styled by Karl Templer…looks like the models had fun!
I just got my film back from processing today…I’m so excited about it!!! I will post it when its edited. Here are some more behind the scenes pictures in the mean time.
Slow motion dancing!
Ironing the green screen. My crew did so much ironing…I am so thankful for their help.
My model, Stanley, was the best.
Our ghetto slate…we shot on Friday the 13th but that’s not the title.
"Drooling Isn't Pretty" is a film and fashion junkie who strives to find new and creative ways to combine these two art forms. She is a sucker for a good latte, zombie movies, cupcakes, tattoos, creeper shoes and anything Alexander McQueen (RIP) touches.
“One should either be a work of art, or wear a work of art.”
-Oscar Wilde
Drool-worthy
adjective. def: If project runway has "fierce", "licious", and "leatha", I have "drool-worthy". Used to express enthusiasm for fashion-related things.
