Kate Moss/Balmain Video
Balmain has released a video version of their fall campaign, and it looks like they had some fun in After Effects to make it a little magical. Watch below for Kate Moss’s magic chameleon hair and the adorable smoking aliens and hand monsters that visit her as she poses.

Night Night
This surreal fashion video by Pearly Films is “…based on falling asleep in front of the TV and experiencing a nightmare. With the aid of night vision goggles, the viewer sees the model first agitated and scared by the nightmare but then gets drawn into the dark world and becomes the nightmare itself”. The video features the beautiful Sohui from Beauty in Filth and designs by Lucy Kenney.

Rebel Trash Barbeque
I’m not going to obsess over how much I love Jeremy Scott because I have devoted way too many blog posts to that subject. Instead I will let you feast your eyes on the deliciously trashy, fleshy, NYC-repping, punk rock, clever tongue-in-chic fiesta of an SS11 collection!
I want a garbage bag skirt! I’m completely serious, I think its adorable…the only problem is off the runway it might just look like, well, a garbage bag. Ah, the illusion of fashion! The soda can getup is genius as well;
What do you guys think, ridiculous, awesome, or ridiculously awesome?

Hair Envy
I’m having a major hairdentity crisis right now…its too short to do anything with other than my current Louise Brooks bob and I’m totally incapable of growing it out. Curses! Current inspirations;

Water & Oil
How do you guys feel about the controversial “Water & Oil” Vogue Italia editorial inspired by the oil spill? Personally I think its stunning, but I understand how it could be seen as an offensive glamourisation of a serious issue…thoughts?

Miu More
Everyone is raving about the new Miu Miu video campaign for AW10/11. The models look gorgeous, the makeup is amazing and the clothes are of course incredible but I feel like the video could have been more creative. The models are Ginta Lapina, Lindsey Wixson (love her), Siri Tollerod, and Daphne Groeneveld.

Tights On Top
I’ve noticed people styling tights over dress shirts and boxers and so on in a way I haven’t seen before…new trend? I love the Vivienne Westwood example (after the jump) but I’m sort of hoping this doesn’t become a mainstream trend :P
