My friend posted this video to her tumblr with a note that said, “Finally! A fashion film that doesn’t make me want to cry in the bathtub and slit my wrist”. Although I can’t say it doesn’t make me want to cry in a bathtub, I just had to repost this. The video perfectly encapsulates that sort of surreal moment when you are walking through a dirty city at some ungodly hour of the morning after a sleepless night. It also has a sort of Where the Wild Things Are vibe to it.
Directed by Philippe Tempelman & Kian Zubicky and fashion by Heidi Nilausen. Also, check out my friend’s tumblr.

What are your Valentine’s Day plans? Or do you plan to ignore the holiday?

The London College of Fashion is hosting a series of lectures about fashion film…right up my alley! The last one was brilliant, I highly recommend attending if you are interested in this growing field of filmmaking. Here are the details on the next lecture:

I was really impressed with Pigeons & Peacocks magazine, which is published by University of the Arts London-London College of Fashion. It’s a beautifully put together magazine with personality, and they have a blog which I suggest you check out. Click click click;
I deleted that last post for now because it was post #199 and I promised something special for post #200. It’s not ready yet and I felt like posting my “top five of the week”, which is kind of a Christmas with list this week, haha. In other words, I really don’t feel like studying right now, I’d much rather be shopping.
ANYWAY…here’s my list for Santy.
1) King Messenger by Deux Lux…only the most perfect bag ever. In my favorite color. With chubby studs. Avalaible online.
2) Nars cream eyeshadow in “Grananda”. The creme de la creme of eyeshadows as far as I’m concerned…Nars is my favorite.
3) Biker jacket from AYP. I have been looking for a more girly fitted biker jacket for a while and this one is classic.
4) PixieMarket “cop and eyeful skirt” by Evil Twin. Drool-worthy.
5) Tiger mesh jodphurs from Moxsie. Drop crotch+mesh+zippers!!!!!
Hey. If you missed the epicness that was this black sleeve pointy dress on Pixie Market, (pictured left, it sold out in like, two days), get on this way more affordable power shoulder dress from Nasty Gal (pictured right).
You’re welcome : P

That’s my hand on the slate, in the MOS position. MOS means “mit out sound” in film, meaning “with out sound”, but it should be noted that while this production was MOS it was not MON (mit out nail-polish).
Keepin’ it classy,
