Meadham Kirchhoff SS12

Meadham and Kirchhoff, always a highlight of LFW, delivered clown chic at its best for their Spring 2012 show in an explosion of pastel candy fluff coats, sequined and fringed hotpants, lacy trim, tartan and teddy bear appliqués. WINNING COMBINATION, I daresay. I really wish I’d seen this show in person, it looked like a massive party with balloons, streamers and ballerinas at the end.

It’s Just a Fucking Clown Chic

I love everything about these Ground Zero multicolour brogues and I need them in my life…I know the clown look isn’t everybody’s cup of tea but it is definitely mine. These are from Ground Zero‘s SS11 collection “It’s Just a Fucking Collection” and the only way I can imagine them being more perfect is if they had colossal creeper soles (drool!). Available on Shop Fatal.

Cheetah Cheetah Bang Bang

Cheetah Cheetah Bang Bang HeelMy shoe-drobe consists pretty much entirely of brothel creepers and leopard print flats. These have elements of both. Needless to say, I kinda need them.

Available online at Modcloth.

P.S. I’m back home in London and plan on posting a lot more. Anything you’d like to see more of on Drooling Isn’t Pretty?

Lazy Oaf x Underground

Um, how have I not heard about this until now? Lazy Oaf and Underground have collaborated to make these adorable creeper shoes, which I absolutely must own. They are £88, limited edition, and WILL BE on my feet by the end of the week.

Crossing my fingers and toes that they haven’t sold out.

Good Things

Good things come when you least expect them. I spent days hunting for shoes after my creepers broke, but to no avail…and then I randomly saw these on my way to Lush. They are the cutest shoes in the whole wide world and they are mine now :)

They  are leopard! And fuzzy! And comfy! I stood in front of the display for about twenty minutes trying to decide which print to go with, they had zebra, lace print and little stars, but these ones just seeemed right.

That’s Not a Bird, It’s a Butterfly

I didn’t really grow up in a typical American family that watched baseball games and owned all the Disney movies on VHS, but we did have Bambi and I watched it on loop when I was little. Thumper was kind of a hero of mine, and what do you know, so is Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and his Bambi-themed Fall 2010 collection.

I don’t know about you guys but I definitely need some Bambi shoes in my life. More photos from the runway after the jump;

All of the Above

Why yes, I would like my feet to be swathed in lux hand-crafted Guatemalan carpet at all times, thank you. Say hello to these cozy, colourful and slightly hairy beauties from Osborn Design Studios, which are a) totally affordable b) charmingly ugly, in the best of ways and c) soon to be mine.

Available online at Need Supply.

*Update: d) not in my size. Laaame!

Viktor & Doll

The Christian Louboutin for Barbie collection is cute, of course, but it isn’t something I would necessarily want as a collector’s item. Perhaps this is because I’m the only girl on the planet who couldn’t care less about his “highly desirable” shoe designs. Or Barbies for that matter. The Viktor & Rolf dolls, however, are adorable and quirky and, if they were available to the public in a smaller size, would look fabulous on my bookshelf. It would be like having a little piece of the runway show to keep forever :)

PS Viktor & Rolf have a fantastic website with an archive section where you can watch tons of runway shows from past collections, in case you are interested.

Sole Mates

Up until now, my favorite shoe lines were TUK, Eject and Jeffrey Campbell…but I may have found a sole mate in these Irregular Choice wedges.

“What an Angel” wedge (top) and “Flashing Lights” wedge (bottom) available online at Irregular Choice.

These are amazing. Is it possible to order a zebra right foot and a leopard left foot? I want to mix and match :)

A Flower From Jeffrey

I only like flowery things if they are appropriately over the top and obnoxiously colourful. These fit the bill.

Jeffrey Campbell, you slay me.

Available at ModCloth.

They’re Back!

These Sam Edelman Zoe booties are fucking amazing. I won’t bother to rant about them because they were blogged to within an inch of their lives when they first hit the interweb HELLA DAYS AGO but now they’re back and I want them.

Sadly, I think these are gonna sell like hot-cakes and I may have to miss them a second time around. Damn this recession!

Available on NastyGal. Pick me up a size 8 while your at it please.

Super-human!

These shoes are so amazing! If I were a super-hero, I would rock these while saving the world.

According to Colette.fr: “Lacoste presents a collection of shoes by architect Zaha Hadid. Born from a digital interpretation of the iconic logo of the brand, the shoes are crafted from Italian calf leather and printed in relief realized by heated metal plates. “Wrapped around the foot, these shoes adapt in an ergonomic way to the shapes of the body” explains Zaha Hadid. Limited edition of 850 pairs, exclusive to colette for France. From July 20th.”

So you’d have to be a super-hero, or at least super rich, to snag a pair of these before they disappear : (

Grumpy Bunny

I was kind of grumpy and under-caffeinated at work today, but fortunatley I had on my favorite BC Footwear bunny wedges to keep a bounce in my step. I remember when these shoes came out, every fashion blog was bashing them, but they still sold out in like ten seconds! I had to scrounge them on ebay.

What do you think, ridiculous or awesome? I love them because they serve as a “sense of humor” test. If I can wear these for a job interview and get hired, then I know my boss is awesome.
